Photo: Seniors appreciate learning what the Internet and E-mail are all about. They are amazed by "Google" searches, maps and satellite imagery, and finding their hometown newspapers on line.

Email Judi if you are interested in helping with our service projects in Rock Island, Moline, East Moline or Davenport.

Other ideas for volunteer projects will also be considered by QCS. Let us know if you have other suggestions!

Volunteer Opportunities:

Some of our members have volunteered time at area libraries, senior centers and assisted living facilities. They help residents learn basic computer skills, send and receive e-mail, and even help set up computer stations.

.Another QCS volunteer set up a simple website for an assisted living residence in Moline, allowing the residents to share their activities and photos with friends and family around the country. If you have web-building skills, this might be a good project.

You don't need advanced computer skills for many of the positions and it is a rewarding experience!

There are locations on both sides of the river that need volunteers. Are you willing to help us make a difference?
